How to use the Photo-booth for digital photo capture for on-line passport application

Now that you have located a Photo-Me booth, you need to follow the process below to ensure you photo meets the Passport standards.

Enter the photobooth and follow the screen instructions as detailed below.

1. Select “Official Photos” on Left hand side of screen
2. Select “On-Line Services” on Left hand side of screen
3. Select “Passport Book Renewal / Passport Card Application
4. Read on screen check list, prepare yourself accordingly and select OK
5. The camera will automatically adjust to ensure your head is in the oval. If necessary, use the up & down arrow to adjust your eye level and select OK
6. PLEASE SIT UP STRAIGHT, LOOK STRAIGHT AHEAD AND DON’T LEAN FORWARD TOWARDS THE CAMERA
7. Your photo will appear on the screen and we will confirm if it is compliant. If not compliant or if you are not happy with the photo you will be given 2 further attempts.
8. Your photo will be sent for attaching to your application on the Irish Passport application web Site. www.dfa.ie/passportonline Terms and Conditions are available for review. Please click OK to agree.
9. Your Shopping Basket will appear.  COINS & NOTES Agree to proceed to the €8 payment.
10. Please insert the correct amount. The photobooth does not give change.
11. Final Screen. Your 4 ID photos and Unique Photo Code with instructions on how to complete your online application is being printed. Please collect outside the booth
